The Romance of Lembeh Strait
Lembeh Strait is a shipping lane on the north side of North Sulawesi in Indonesia. It is known for its world-class muck diving, which is a type of diving where divers mostly search the seafloor for small and rare marine creatures. There are numerous species of nudibranchs, cuttlefish, frogfish, Rhinopias and other scorpionfish. This makes Lembeh Strait the perfect place for all kinds of macro photography and videography. During a two-week span in late September, 2009, Roger Roth was able to capture in HD a number of courting dances, and matings of various species, as well as finding examples of how some species lay and/or incubate their eggs, and how those eggs finally hatch.
